Plastics Recycling World Expo Exhibition Rescheduled On 7-8 October 2020.

We are writing to let you know that the plastics industry exhibitions that we had scheduled for 3-4 June at Messe Essen will now take place at the same venue on 7-8 October 2020. This announcement covers the Compounding World Expo, Plastics Extrusion World Expo, Plastics Recycling World Expo and Polymer Testing World Expo, plus their related conferences.

The uncertainty and disruption caused by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) is impacting us all. We have been reviewing the fast-changing situation daily, and we have been consulting with exhibitors, Messe Essen, local government and health authorities. As you are probably aware, large-scale events are currently banned in North Rhine-Westphalia, the German state that includes Essen.

Our primary concerns are for the health and safety of all attendees at our events, and delivering the very best audience for our exhibitors who fund the expos. With these factors in mind, along with the advice we have received from the parties mentioned above, we have taken the decision to postpone the expos to 7-8 October.

We felt it was important to make and announce this decision now, in order to end the current uncertainty and to allow exhibitors, speakers and attendees to plan effectively for the new dates. All stand bookings will automatically transfer to the new dates and you will retain your existing stand number and position.

The October dates will allow us all to ensure a successful event and build on the progress to date. Exhibitor numbers are up by more than 80% compared to our launch event in 2018, and over 1,500 people have already registered to attend the expos. We are contacting them separately and their bookings will also transfer automatically.

Today, we have aimed to take the best decision for the industry and we are very thankful for the support that has already been shown to us. Quite rightly, many of you see yourselves as friends and members of the extended AMI family.  Once again, we thank the whole industry for the support that has been shown to us and we are here to support others in the industry as we all work through these difficult times.

Kind regards

Alice @ GET recycling
